Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to invest 5 weeks, be patiently guided to break through challenges and insecurity, and gain the skills you need for using the internet safely, with confidence, know what to do and what not to do, so that you can gain a window to the world, see friends and family, do your shopping, and all from the comfort of your own home! What a boost of independence!

The meetings will be on Zoom video, and the first module will make sure you can join with confidence!

Online Safety Rules—how to keep safe on your online adventures
Navigation—How to search the Internet, get to sites you are interested in, and save "bookmarks" so you can come back to visit
Your Keys—How to use passwords with confidence, and how not to lose them!
Accounts—How to create an account (and fill up forms) with your favorite store; Which information is ok to give and to whom
Shopping—Getting what you need, safely
How Does it Work?
An orientation meeting will kick off the course, with demonstration of how to use the online program at your own time to learn and explore with videos that show you what to do, and simple exercises to start your exploration.
A weekly meeting, showing the skill we will explore this week, and Q&A to answer your questions.
The meetings are a safe environment where no question is too small and no one is left behind!
You will have access to the course material in the form of an online program (a website) for the duration of the live course and beyond. The program material is yours once you buy the course.

What is the benefit of Video Chat?
If you haven't tried it before, you're in for a pleasant surprise. The ability to see the other person while talking with them, see their gestures, being able to share/show something you made or wrote—all contribute greatly to better communication and stronger connections. Zoom is only one of the ways to have a face to face meeting, with one person or more.
I don't have Zoom, can I take the Course?
Yes! As part of the course we will make sure that you will get help installing Zoom.
I tried To Use Zoom Before and failed. How is this different?
My guarantee—No senior left behind! You will have live instruction by an experienced coach, who has experience working with seniors at all levels of skill. You will be able to ask your questions in the weekly meetings, and have access to videos, images, written instructions.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to get 1 on 1 support at reduced cost.
Do I have to create an event? I just want to learn to finally use Zoom!
You do not have to create an event! The course also teaches how to find and join many existing events that can connect you to a world of opportunities.
